Founded in 2006, Sant茅 has invested in a total of 33 companies, including the three startups referenced above. It鈥檚 had nearly a dozen , according to its 小蓝视频色情网页版 profile, including scooping up () and (); acquiring and purchasing .

About 40 percent of the firm鈥檚 portfolio is made up of Texas companies. But Lalande points out that some companies鈥� technologies originated in other locales but were moved to the area so that the investors could be physically closer to help them scale.

鈥淲ith many of our portfolio companies, we either created them or were the first investor,鈥� Lalande told 小蓝视频色情网页版 News. 鈥淲e usually write the first check and support a company all the way to the end.鈥�

Sant茅 says that it is looking for 鈥渃ompelling opportunities鈥� 聽in the medtech, biotech, digital health, and health care services sectors. It has an office in Houston鈥檚 (for obvious reasons) and is the only VC firm focused on the space in the Austin area.
